AEX – Aerospace EXcellence
The Civil Air Patrol offers a very popular free program to its members that involves engaging and interesting hands-on aviation and space-related STEM activities conducted in schools, youth organizations, community events, or museums. It is called “Aerospace Education EXcellence,” or, simply AEX.
CAP’s Model Rocketry program is an achievement program for cadets interested in the science, technology, and flight of model rockets.
STEM (Science, Technoloy, Engineering & Math) Program
CAP provides the CAP STEM Kit Program to nationwide CAP Unit Aerospace Education Officers and CAP Members who are educators, to include AFJROTC Instructors.
Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) is an aerospace design and engineering event for teams of US secondary school students (7th through 12th grades) run by the NAR and the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). Teams can be sponsored by schools or by nonprofit youth organizations such as Scouts, 4-H, or Civil Air Patrol (but not the NAR or other rocketry organizations).
