BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA AFFILIATION

In the future, this unit may choose to affiliate itself with the Boy Scouts of America. This will be done by chartering the unit as either an Aviation Explorer Post or a Venturing Crew.?

Members will first be a member of Civil Air Patrol, and adhere to the regulations and such that pertain to CAP at all times. They will wear CAP uniform and will be accountable to that organization first.

The main purpose of this opportunity is to provide facilities, areas for training and additional insurance that Civil Air Patrol doesn?t provide, as well as other extracurricular opportunities that may come about.? Our unit?s affiliation will not be to participate fully in the suggested format as other BSA affiliated groups use.?

We will not hinder any member from pursuing membership with the BSA, or its branches and encourage their progression in that program.

Any funds that are raised will be placed in the Civil Air Patrol bank account only, and the BSA will have no rights to those funds. There will not be dual accounts established or maintained by the finance officer.
